Rhino Safari Camp is situated on a private concession within the remote Matusadona National Park and offers a highly personalised rustic, comfortable and unforgettable safari experience. Accommodation at Rhino Safari Camp comprises 7 en suite rooms built on the principles of the local Tonga people. The camp is built 2 metres above the ground with vented, extended thatch roofs to protect guests from the extremes of the weather, with reed half walls for privacy but open fronts to fully appreciate the breathtaking views of the lake and the wildlife roaming through the camp
The main boma area at Rhino Safari Camp is a 2-storey, open-sided structure. Guest meals can be enjoyed upstairs or downstairs, while upstairs includes a comfortable lounge with spectacular lake views. The firepit, in an open area, is the perfect place for guests to sit and have drinks while catching up on their safari stories for the day. The camp is completely unfenced, and wildlife is often seen roaming through the campgrounds, normally elephants, hippos and hyenas, but occasionally leopards and lions.

The camp is about being in the bush and closer to nature, striving to offer a friendly, remote and exclusive destination for walkers, outdoors enthusiasts, birders, photographers or fishermen. Rhino Safari Camp offers nature bush walks and birding experiences, which, with the diverse habitat surrounding the camp, boasts over 350 recorded bird species. In addition, guests can enjoy the magic of Lake Kariba sunset on a relaxing boat cruise while game drives explore the Matusadona National Park, where guests can expect to see impala, warthog, kudu, waterbuck, hippos, crocodiles, leopards and lions.
