Matusadona National Park is situated along the southern shores of Lake Kariba and is rated one of the best parks in Africa for tracking rhinos on foot. This abundant wilderness area offers excellent sightings of predators, including lions, leopards, hyenas and cheetahs. The park also offers incredible sightings of impala, warthog, kudu, waterbuck, hippos and crocodiles and includes an astonishing variety of birds, with over 350 recorded species. Guests staying at the camps and lodges within the private concessions will have the opportunity to do night game drives and spot nocturnal animals rarely seen during the day. Fishing in Lake Kariba is excellent. Matusadona National Park is accessible by road, boat and air.
Rhino Safari Camp
Rhino Safari Camp is situated on a private concession within the remote Matusadona National Park and offers a highly personalised rustic, comfortable and unforgettable safari experience. Accommodation at Rhino Safari Camp comprises 7 en suite rooms built on the principles of the local Tonga people. The camp is built 2 metres above the ground with vented, extended thatch roofs to protect guests from the extremes of the weather, with reed half walls for privacy but open fronts to fully appreciate the breathtaking views of the lake and the wildlife roaming through the camp.
