Chobe Savanna is a luxury lodge located on a peninsula on Namibia's northern bank of the Chobe River.The lodge overlooks the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park's Puku Flats, approximately 90 km west of Victoria Falls. This area is renowned for its diverse and prolific wildlife, including the rare Puku antelope.
Chobe Savanna Lodge provides accommodation for 24 guests in elegant, thatched chalets whose interiors are decorated in subtle earth tones and dark woods with a contemporary African theme. Each chalet features a combined bedroom or lounge area and minibar with air-conditioning, en suite facilities and a private wooden deck.
The focal point of Chobe Savanna is a thatched, open-sided main building featuring a 270-degree view over the Chobe River and beyond to the Chobe National Park which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the lounge and bar. Guests can relax on the beautiful sun deck by the swimming pool, where lunches are served under the gazebo. A boma area on the banks of the Chobe River provides guests with traditional dancing and panoramic views of the river.
Guests have a choice of boat excursions in small manoeuvrable boats, ideal for close-up encounters with wildlife along the river's edge, with the sunset cruise down the Chobe River a highlight. Depending on the time of year, guests are offered the opportunity to take canoe excursions along the river, as well as nature walks along the riverbank. Cultural village visits can be arranged from the lodge, as can fishing excursions on a catch-and-release basis.
