Maxa
Northern Side of the Okavango Delta
Nestled in the charming northern landscapes of the Okavango Delta, surrounded by permanent lagoons, grassy floodplains and wooded islands is Maxa, a small, exclusive and intimate safari camp. The camp has a view of the permanent Maxa lagoon which is the meeting point of the Selinda Spillway's meandering channels and the crystal-clear Okavango waters.
Accommodation at Maxa is in 5 tents including a family room. These spacious tents accommodate up to 12 guests. Well equipped with ensuite facilities, picture yourself immersed in nature on the outdoor open-air bathroom, complete with an adjoining indoor bathroom. The design of the camp features a freeform separated lounge and dining area, set under light canvas rooves, partially enclosed by traditional clay walls. At the edge of the camp’s riverine forest overlooking the lagoon is another cluster of Ebony trees, forming a natural enclosure where there is a cushioned day bed complemented by an elevated deck where guests can sit and relax during a siesta time.
