Chitabe Lediba is a smaller version of the main Chitabe Camp, built just a few hundred metres away on the other side of the same island.

Chitabe Lediba is a more intimate camp, making it ideal for small groups and families. The camp consists of 5 spacious and luxuriously appointed Meru-style tents built on raised decks with en suite facilities, including an outdoor shower overlooking the floodplain. In addition, two-family units have adjoining bedrooms and shared en suite bathrooms. Chitabe Lediba shares its game drive network with Chitabe main camp giving guests the same incredible game-viewing experiences.

The main area is accessed from the tents via raised walkways where the dining area, lounge and pool have beautiful views over the surrounding floodplains and a small waterhole, where the game comes to drink during the day. Guests can enjoy a drink from the self-service bar before relaxing in one of the comfortable chairs in the well-appointed library or out on the deck with the firepit.

Activities

As a dry camp, Chitabe Lediba offers game drives and guided walks in the Chitabe concession. Morning and afternoon drives may include sightings of elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and cheetah, while wild dogs are often seen in this area. Evening game drives return after dark so guests can spot the shyer nocturnal animals such as genet, civet, serval, porcupine and possibly aardwolf. Walking safaris are a fantastic way to explore Africa's wildlife on foot, where guests may see zebra, tsessebe, giraffe, kudu and impala. Guests at Chitabe Lediba have access to the 2 hides on the concession allowing them to experience sleeping under the stars.
