Maun Lodge is perched on the banks of the Thamalakane River, only 4 km from Maun International Airport and 2.5km from the village centre. Maun Lodge has a variety of accommodation types with a total of 140 rooms, all air-conditioned with en suite bathrooms, a limited bouquet of satellite television, tea and coffee facilities, room service and laundry. Deluxe riverfront suites have private verandas, while the presidential suite has a king-size bed and a fully-stocked bar. Alternatively, the 12 thatched chalets offer excellent value for money.
Maun Lodge boasts conference facilities with a seating capacity of 500 delegates. The dining options are varied for guests and include the Boma, an open-air traditional bar and restaurant, offering local dishes, including barbeques and a light menu; the a la carte restaurant, which offers a full menu with a range of chef's daily specials; and the Pygmy Goose Bar, an ideal meeting place offering a range of chef's daily specials, as well as international and traditional cuisine. In addition, the lodge has a large swimming pool with a nearby bar and plenty of on-site parking. Tennis and squash facilities are available at the nearby local sports club.
Activities
The lodge doesn't offer its own activities, but a large selection of activities, tours and safaris can be arranged. Overnight and day trips into the Okavango Delta can be arranged for guests from Maun Lodge, as well as cultural village tours, horse riding, a visit to a crocodile farm, helicopter flips and scenic flights.
