seba camp
Western side of the Okavango Delta
Seba Camp is situated in an ancient riverine forest with majestic hardwood trees and overlooks a perennial lagoon in the Okavango Delta with prolific birdlife and resident pods of hippo.Seba Camp shares its concession with Abu Camp and has been constructed as a family-friendly camp. It is also the base of a fascinating elephant research project. Seba, meaning 'whisper,' is named after one of Abu Camp's released elephants. As a baby, Seba starred in the Walt Disney movie, Whispers, which was filmed in the area.
Seba Camp has 8 elevated tents, all set in secluded positions shaded by magnificent old trees. Each en suite tent has a private wooden deck with views over the lagoon and flood plains and has been beautifully and individually decorated with a theme representing different Botswana tribes. The 2 family tents have 2 en suite bedrooms interlinked by a passageway. The outside deck has ample space for relaxing with a plunge pool, tree house, toy box and sandpit for guests to enjoy.
The main area consists of two open-sided wooden structures, one of which houses the dining room and the other the lounge area, which includes the library. Both buildings are decorated with traditional Botswana basketwork and other local artefacts. In front of the dining area is a small, well-stocked bar, and in the centre is the campfire, lit every evening. A decked area to the rear of the camp houses a small swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas.
