Xigera Safari Lodge is situated on one of the Okavango’s key waterways and is surrounded by picturesque papyrus swamps, seasonal floodplains, and wooded islands and is renowned for its very high density of sitatunga antelope. Adding to this, guests are sometimes treated to close-up views of lion or leopard using the footbridge connecting Xigera to the next island.
Xigera Safari Lodge can accommodate up to 24 guests in 11 standard suites and a 2 bedroomed family suite, each well equipped with full bathroom and outdoor shower, separate private lounge area as well as a private deck offering unhindered floodplain views. Additionally, the baobab treehouse offering guests a chance to sleep under the stars and African skies well complemented by the sounds of nature and the magic of the wilderness. Xigera Safari Lodge is the Delta personified deeply rooted in the Okavango Delta, a breathtaking landscape of seasonal floodplains and riverine forests, grasslands and papyrus wetlands with serene waters flowing through innumerable channels around remote islands and a profusion of plant and animal life. The lush grasslands and verdant islands also support large herds of antelope, including kudu, wildebeest and the semi-aquatic red lechwe. On your safari excursions from Xigera Safari Lodge, look forward to sightings of lions, cheetahs and leopards as well as packs of endangered African wild dog and the ever-resourceful spotted hyena.
