One of Africa’s oldest conservation areas, Liuwa is a renowned safari destination and a spectacular wildlife experience. Liuwa Plains National Park is made of 3660 kmkilo-meter squared of pristine wilderness and open plains, an area well known for hosting largest number of wildebeest in Africa along Zebras, tsessebe, lechwes, lions, hyenas, wild dogs, cheetahs as well over 350 diffferent bird species  including the rare wattled and crowned cranes. The vast, open grasslands and a rich diversity of wildlife create spectacular views and fantastic photographic opportunities in the rainy season from about November. Guests may explore this incredible park by doing activities such as  guided walking safaris, canoeing excursions, guided game drives, cultural and conservation tours to a nearby village including taking part in the Kuomboka traditional ceremony  depending on the water level.
