JOHN'S CAMP

Mana Pools National Park

John's Camp is a seasonal camp open between May and mid-November, located in Mana Pools National Park, arguably the most beautiful game reserve in Africa, which offers exceptional nature walk safaris and spectacular game sightings.

Accommodation is in intimate 6 walk-in Meru-style safari tented rooms. The camp is rustic but incredibly comfortable. A stay at John's Camp is perfect for travellers looking for a relaxed, authentic African safari experience in the bush where the guiding is paramount. The camp is well positioned, overlooking the open floodplain, and although simple, the main area is the hub of the camp, where guests gather to have their meals and chat about the day's sightings.

Activities

The emphasis at John's Camp is on the guiding and experience – game viewing is spectacular. Guests can explore the area by vehicle and on foot allowing ample opportunity to see different vegetation and wildlife in Mana Pools National Park. Fishing is also available to guests during their stay, as is the chance to overnight in the star bed, which overlooks the floodplains and offers amazing views while watching animals passing. During the variety of activities and game viewing options available, guests can spot predators such as wild dogs, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, buffalos, kudus, zebras, and many different bird species.
