Shongwe Lookout is roughly a kilometre from Victoria Falls Town, meaning a pleasant walk or a short taxi ride to reach all the main facilities. Shongwe Lookout comprises 23 rooms, including 4 studio rooms, 16 deluxe and 3 executive rooms, all offering views of the Zambezi River.
Shongwe Lookout's main area includes a lounge, bar and restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the front is a swimming pool with various seating options facing the stunning garden where guests can sit and relax during their siesta. The fire pit in the open area allows guests a place to socialise before or after dinner . In addition, Shongwe boasts a lookout tower, a unique product offering amazing sunset and sunrise views of the Zambezi River and mist from the falls. The tower is open for early morning coffees and evening drinks. The intercom and pulley system allow guests to order drinks and nibbles without missing a moment of the magical view.
Activities
Whilst staying at Shongwe Lookout, create wonderful memories exploring Victoria Falls by enjoying some of the many activities on offer: river cruises, helicopter flights over the Falls, Chobe day trips and white-water rafting, to name but a few. In addition, Shongwe Lookout offers an exciting additional activity; the Bamba Tram. Guests on the Bamba Tram will enjoy an experience encompassing Zambezi National Park through to the historic Victoria Falls suspension bridge, to learning about the area's history, the railway and the bridge. Afterwards, guests will end the day with a sundowner sunset safari run along the Masuwe River near the Zambezi National Park, followed by dinner under the African skies while spotting wild animals.
