MATOBO NATIONAL PARK

Matobo National Park is in southwest Zimbabwe and is a unique part of Zimbabwe. Famous for having over 3000 San Bushman rock paintings and breathtaking views from the Matobo Hills, this area is one of the best to visit for historical and cultural experiences throughout the year. Matobo National Park is among the destinations with the highest concentration of eagles, including black eagles, African hawk eagles, Wahlberg's eagles, and crowned eagles. Other birdlife includes purple crested louri, boulder chat and lanner falcons. Wildlife within the park includes antelopes, giraffes, zebras, and black-backed and side-stripped jackals. Matobo Hills are within a 30-minute drive of Bulawayo, with all camps and lodges offering airport transfers.
